New Post: Weeknds On Wednesdays
Last night, I had the opportunity to check out a performance by The Weeknd at the historic St. Andrew’s. Being his first show in Detroit, and the uncertainty of catching a live show of a group, the show ended up being sold out and energy was definitely high (as well as the temperature…..but I’ll get into that later)…
So mad I didn’t get any Sweetwater wings….so jealous Mr. Graham.

Ok, before I get into the show, the temperature in St. Andrew’s was beyond fuckin ridiculous…they have fans in there that weren’t even on….smh…I could see if it was a little warm inside a venue, but this shit was like a sauna….my glasses were fogging up throughout the whole night, and it was uncomfortable. A ventilation system would have made the show way better…..but that’s just my opinion
So The Weeknd hit the stage, and it was like the second coming of MJ…….screams, howls, people having seizures and passing out……no lie
Doing my best to look past the temperature inside of St. Andrew’s, let me give my view on the show. The Weeknd ran through his hits from his three mixtapes with no break. Bodied each one…and surprised me with his live vocals…..shit sounded amazing. Not to mention, his band plays extremely well
Look at those sweaty ass people in the balcony all on top of each other…….that’s nasty
